Hip Hop Is Leaking

What a day for hip hop leakage. We have such great underground artists that have leaked to the Internet today. Most of them are nearing their release date, so don't feel obligated to go and download them.

Underground artists have been dominating the Internet message boards for the last couple years. They are known more as lyrical than their mainstream opponents.

Unfortunately, fanbase doesn't usually translate to record sales until they reach the mainstream and a more significant marketing scheme.

All of these rappers are an exception to the rule and are in general very successful in sales when they they release their albums.

Immortal Technique has returned with his first album in a couple years. His lyrics are still deeply political and frightening.

"The 3rd World" will be his third full-length album. The first two were "Revolutionary volume 1" and "Revolutionary Volume 2".

The albums pontificated American interests and debated the role of the US in the world. He also looked in retrospect at bad choices America has made in the past.

A lot of his material is conspiracy theory. He also likes to fight for the rights of the poor. Hence, why his third album is entitled "Third World".

As much as, he can't tolerate America and its role in the world. He is also sickened by any person or country that is prosperous and doesn't give back.

If all of this sounds interesting to you. You should consider purchasing his new album.

Three Six Mafia has been putting out bangers on a regular basis. It should be no surprise that they are back with some fire.

The group has been in the hip hop scene for well over a decade now. They entered the game in 1994 with "Smoked Out, Loced Out".

"Last 2 Walk" is the 9th release buy the group. Originally scheduled to be released on December 4th, it was pushed back until June 24th, 2008.

There song "It's Hard out Here for a Pimp" won the best original song at the academy awards in 2005. Shocking just about everybody.

Tech N9ne has been making an impact on the underground scene for about a decade. I don't think, he has ever enjoyed as much success as his recent string of albums.

The man who is often considered as fast as "Twista" when it comes to spitting is a pure lyricist. He jumps around with rhyme schemes and uses complex wordplay that is often hard for even dedicated hip hop listeners like myself to understand.

A rapper, who tackles the tough issues like religion and politics, but saves time for the club hits and bangers.

If you want to listen to a diverse emcee just spazz out all over an album. You will most likely want to hear this new album. I personally can't wait to check it out.

Wu Tang Clan dropped there return album in December. RZA continues to grow his solo discography with this new joint.

Can you imagine being a part of one of the most successful groups in the history of hip hop?

Can you imagine dropping four solo albums to critical acclaim?

Can you imagine being mentioned as one of the top lyricist in the history of hip hop?

Neither can I because that spot is reserved for RZA. Seen as one of the most deadly emcees in the game. He has lyrics 365 a year and if you don't check out his new album, well, don't blame me.

By the way, if you missed the album cover, scroll back up to the top, that is ridiculous as hell. One of the best album covers of all time.

Young Buck - My Whole Life

Young Buck has been embroiled in the controversy of the separation of G Unit over the last couple months.

He has accused 50 Cent of not paying him. He has said, f*** G-Unit on stage and has had phone conversations between him and 50 Cent leaked to the internet.

The former G-Unit rapper dropped "Buck The World" last summer to positive feedback and continues to work on his forthcoming LP "Product of the South".

"Product of the South" is set to be released in the summer of 08 and will be Young Buck's third full-length LP.

Young Buck will be releasing the album on his own indepedent label "Cashville Records". Symbolic because he is no longer a member of G Unit and the shady records family. Although, as of right now, he is still signed with them.

Guest appearances on the album are rumored to be Young Jeezy, Young Dro, Plies, Akon, Devin The Dude, Yung Joc, Lil Boosie, T.I., Brotha Lynch Hung, and Snoop Dogg.

A rapper who has had probably the most successful career besides 50 Cent out of G Unit has another new track entitled "My Whole Life".

The results are in and Lil Wayne has sold over a million copies of his album Tha Carter III.

The southern rapper has a video out where he addresses the success of the album.

Critics have questioned the selling power of Lil Wayne, who has already went plat a couple times in his past.

Lil Wayne has been gaining a lot of new fans through collaborations and on the Mixtape scene over the last couple years.

He has appeared on a record breaking amount of tracks and shown his diversity with his flow.

We can't understate the amount of people who are completely appalled by Lil Wayne as a rapper, but it's now basically written in stone. Lil Wayne is one of the most popular artists in hip hop.

Lil Wayne - Mr. Carter - Alternative

Lil Wayne has been dominating the hip hop scene over the past couple weeks. Tha Carter III leaked to the internet, his album sold 400,000+ in its first week and Lolipop is one of the most successful singles of this year.

It should be no surprise that when the southern artist got together with Jay Z for the follow up to "Hello Brooklyn", (which appeared on Jay Z's album American Gangster) - the buzz was huge.

The song quickly became one of the most praised and talked about tracks off "Tha Carter III".

Lil Wayne didn't want to end the hype of this song there though. He has redone the first verse of the track and you can download it here.

Obie Trice - Hold Up

Obie Trice has dropped a new single - for his semi-anticipated LP "Bottoms Up". This will be the follow up to his "Second Round's on Me" album dropped in 2006.

"Bottom's Up" is currently being worked on. The shady records artist has so far dropped two full length LP's.

Obie Trice's first album "Cheers" was his most successful as far as sales go. Most critics were willing to say that his second album "Bottoms Up" was his most lyrical album.

I can imagine that he has developed even more lyrically since his last album and this should be a banger.

Obie Trice had this to say about the forthcoming project.

I don't really know a lot of artists — I'm in Detroit. It's not Atlanta, where everybody is everywhere, or L.A. or somewhere like that. I actually think it's time for me to start branching off and start connecting with cats. Getting my collaboration on and working with some hot producers — unknown and known — and just make them joints that feel good and that are radio. I just want to make that transition.

The Detroit emcee has a new song off that album entitled "Hold Up". You can download the brand new track here.
