Underground artists have been dominating the Internet message boards for the last couple years. They are known more as lyrical than their mainstream opponents.
Unfortunately, fanbase doesn't usually translate to record sales until they reach the mainstream and a more significant marketing scheme.
All of these rappers are an exception to the rule and are in general very successful in sales when they they release their albums.
Immortal Technique has returned with his first album in a couple years. His lyrics are still deeply political and frightening."The 3rd World" will be his third full-length album. The first two were "Revolutionary volume 1" and "Revolutionary Volume 2".
The albums pontificated American interests and debated the role of the US in the world. He also looked in retrospect at bad choices America has made in the past.
A lot of his material is conspiracy theory. He also likes to fight for the rights of the poor. Hence, why his third album is entitled "Third World".
As much as, he can't tolerate America and its role in the world. He is also sickened by any person or country that is prosperous and doesn't give back.
If all of this sounds interesting to you. You should consider purchasing his new album.

Tech N9ne has been making an impact on the underground scene for about a decade. I don't think, he has ever enjoyed as much success as his recent string of albums. The man who is often considered as fast as "Twista" when it comes to spitting is a pure lyricist. He jumps around with rhyme schemes and uses complex wordplay that is often hard for even dedicated hip hop listeners like myself to understand.
A rapper, who tackles the tough issues like religion and politics, but saves time for the club hits and bangers.
If you want to listen to a diverse emcee just spazz out all over an album. You will most likely want to hear this new album. I personally can't wait to check it out.
